Alchemical Dragon by Devy Man - AI Artwork on Canvas with LED Box
Devy Man, a digital artist, participated in the Pivotal exhibition, which showcased the emerging movement of digitalism. His featured works explored optical art, blending traditional techniques with cutting-edge digital innovation. One of his pieces was a classical 2D artwork that transformed into a 3D experience through an LED system enclosed in a frame box.
The highlight of his contribution, Alchemical Dragon, introduced a new artistic technique called the "Alchemy of Colours." In this work, Devy Man took the main character from his film and separated its colours. By adding and extracting colours, combined with the LED system, the artwork revealed shifting hues and new visual elements that emerged from the canvas. This process resulted in a mesmerising, almost hypnotic effect for viewers, delivering a visual and conceptual transformation.
